How we almost met the Queen of the UK / Kuidas me peaaegu Suurbritannia kuningannaga kohtusime.

We already got a special request from London (to say “Hi!”). Well, hello there!

What can I say about London? I would like to share a little story about my trip to London. Here it is.

We were in London for the first time and our lovely hosts asked us what we would like to do in London. And you know, we just said that we want to meet the Queen. That’s a good idea, right?

So one day we went to the Buckingham Palace and when we arrived we saw  quite a big crowd there. A lot of tourists. But they also seemed to be waiting for something. So we stayed there and waited, too.

Then we saw a helicopter flying above the palace. And can you imagine: we then saw the Queen arriving! Well, unfortunately she didn’t  skydive this time like she glamorously did at the London Olympics opening ceremony in 2012. This time she came by car and we actually saw her in the car!

I tried to take a picture but I was not quick enough. I only caught in the photo a half of the car where the Queen was sitting and I will not post that photo here because you will not believe me anyway!

Instead I am posting a photo of the delicious ice-cream we had that (freezing) day.

We were really happy and to this day I cannot believe that we almost met the Queen just like that!

Another little London-related incident: exactly the same day as we got the “special London request” I came across this lovely sweater.

It’s hand knitted! I don’t know who has done this amazing job, but this someone must really have loved London to take all this trouble and hand knit such a special pattern.

So that was our little London story. If anyone else has a special request for us to write about something – please let me know! I will run the idea by our “marketing department” and we’ll see what can be done!

See ya!

Tere jälle! Meile on juba saabunud üks erisoov Londonist. Tervitussoov! Siinkohal lähevadki palavad tervitused Londonisse!

Igatahes… Mida ma oskan Londoni kohta öelda? Jagaksin hea meelega ühte väikest lugu oma Londoni reisist. Siin see on.

Me olime Londonis esimest korda ja meie armsad võõrustajad küsisid, mida me sooviksime Londonis teha. Meie vastasime, et oleks tore kuningannaga kohtuda. Pole paha mõte, eks ole?

Nii me jalutasimegi Buckinghami palee juurde ja nägime seal suurt hulka inimesi. Palju turiste, kes justkui ootasid midagi.

Ja siis me nägime palee kohal helikopterit lendamas. Kas kujutate ette: järgmiseks nägime me kuningannat ennast saabumas!

Selle asemel lisan foto, kus on peal maitsev jäätis, mida me tol (jäisel) päeval Londonis sõime.

Me olime väga rahul ja õnnelikud ning tänase päevani ei suuda ma uskuda, et me niisama heast peast peaaegu, et kohtusime kuningannaga.

Veel üks naljakas Londoniga seotud seik on see, et samal päeval, kui ma sain “Londoni erisoovi”, sattus mulle ette see pildil olev kampsun.

See on käsitsi kootud. Ma ei tea, kes selle suurepärase kudumi teinud on, kuid kindlasti armastas ta väga Londonit. Miks muidu võttis ta ette sellise suure töö ja kudus valmis nii erilise mustri.

See oligi meie väike lugu Londonist. Kui kellelgi on veel erisoove, millest te kuulda tahate, siis andke julgelt teada! Ma pean nõu meie “marketingi osakonnaga” ja me vaatame, mis teha annab!

Kuulmiseni!
