Christmas · fashion · just thinking...

Country girl or city babe? / Maatüdruk või linnabeib?

So, let’s talk about presents. What did you get? Did it make you happy?

In my family we draw lots and this way everyone gets one person to make presents to. I love the idea as it makes Christmas so much easier.

I remember one gift from more than 15 years ago. We all only got one present that time, but that was enough to make me happy.

My present was the magazine Veranda pictured below.

The Veranda magazine.

Yes, I still have it and I still read it from time to time.

I was already in love with magazines then.

But that’s not what I wanted to talk about….

Anyway…. The presents.

This year I got three new magazines. And lots of scented candles. It’s easy to make me happy….

Well, of course I was also thrilled about the Chanel nail polishes and YSL red lipstick!

And so the presents got me thinking…

Here I am, in the country. No tap water in the house. The well has dried up so we have to collect rainwater (Today it’s freezing already (-11 C/12.2F) but no snow yet. So no water.). The electrical oven has been broken for a long time already, so we can only use the wood burning oven for baking. No toilet or bathroom inside the house. The only place to wash yourself is the sauna…

Little details in the woods.

And there’s still no other place I’d rather be (well, except somewhere on the beach in a warm country…). I’m mostly always sad when I have to go back to the city.

And… At the same time I’m so happy about the Chanel nail polish and YSL lipstick! I obviously don’t wear these in the country.

So am I a country girl? I’m definitely not a city girl, but I also can’t imagine myself without a little bit of glamour.

I love the simplicity of the country life. But I also love fashion and make up and cafes.

And sometimes I really wish that I’d just be one or another. Either I would be a real country girl or a city babe.

Wouldn’t my life be so much easier? Or would it just be more dull that way?

What do you think? Do you belong to the city or to the country?

Nii. Räägime kinkidest. Mida te kingiks saite? Olete rahul?

Meie teeme pereringis loosipakid. Nii peab igaüks ainult ühele inimesele kinke tegema. Minu arvates teeb see jõulud palju lihtsamaks.

Niisiis… Kinkidest.

Sel aastal sain ma kolm ajakirja. Palju lõhnaküünlaid. Lihtsad asjad. Mind on lihtne kinkidega õnnelikuks teha.

(Ega see pole Eestis muidugi midagi harukordset.)
